Why JBProductions should be used – JBPRODUCTIONS

Why Us?

Jaco Bezuidenhout and Ella Kotze

For 7 years Jaco Bezuidenhout received training as a singer ranging from a classical background to pop and rock. He then became a vocal coach himself for 6 years, while doing the recordings of students and friends in his free time. It is with this knowledge that he proudly calls himself a ‘Producer of Vocals‘ and not just a recording engineer. This enables him to capture the best possible vocal performance out of a singer. Singers walk out of the studio with new-found knowledge of the workings of their voice and its capabilities.

Jaco Bezuidenhout regularly finds that even people with more than 20 years singing experience are able to test their limits and find new places to go with their voice and music. This is due to a calm environment where experimenting is encouraged. Ella Kotze, a singer for more than 25 years, recorded a Gospel album and said that she couldn’t believe the notes she sang due to this producer always squeezing that little bit extra out of the performance. Even long-time fans  said they heard new pleasing tones in her voice they never heard before.

“I was amazed at the ability of my voice while recording with Jaco. He always managed to squeeze that little bit extra out even when I thought I did my best. “ – Ella Kotze, Gospel Singer.

As a music producer, Jaco has the ability not just to build a backtrack, but to have a vision of where the song should go, whether it is for live performing or aimed at radio play. He’s continuely training himself in producing and mixing skills every day, in order  to stay ahead of trends and ideas and always tries new things. By avidly following great musicians like Tim Pierce, he manages to produce large variety of instrument sessions on projects despite the fact that he is a pianist himself. Thereby he manages to speak the language of different instrument players and guides them in creating the sounds he envisions for a song.

At JBProductions it has never been about the equipment, the room or the money spent on instruments that made the business successful. It is about the creative hands it has to pass through to realise a great musical achievement. The technicality of mixing then comes naturaly. Jaco loves it to surround himself with people with the same principles and ideas. These are the people that has nothing to proof, but lots to give.
